Starting with the initial consultation, Dr. Galumbeck assesses the patient individually.
He makes suggestions for the location of the incision for the implant (in the armpit, around the bottom of the nipple, or underneath the breast). The breast implant can be either round or sloping to complement the breast's natural shape. A breast implant can either go underneath or on top of the pectoralis muscle.
Members of the staff assist patients in trying on implants so that each patient can choose the size that is right for them. Although Dr. Galumbeck and his staff will make suggestions, the patient has the ultimate choice in all aspects of breast augmentation.
The procedure is performed in the privacy and comfort of our on site operating suite. By utilizing new techniques such as endoscopic assistance, we are able to make smaller incisions, and shorten the length of the procedure (breast augmentation takes about one hour).
Patients are able to return home about one hour after the breast implant procedure, and can return to work and social activities in just a few days.
